Music is universal, it’s a auspicious language without barrier. No one can bind music it’s free like a soul. As we know music is universal but the approach towards it changes with geographies. This approach is nothing but path to feel the divine core .i.e music. I will discuss the basics of Indian approach in few posts from now let us begin.
There are 12 swars in music which can define any melody we want. Swars are like alphabets of musical language. And they are as follows:
Swars are frequency points in a range. In Indian classical music swars are relative with respect to staring note Sa. Only the starting point changes and distance between the swars are always fixed.
We can create any melody or music with the swars and we will explore this in the upcoming posts.
For the time being we will discuss only suddha swars
i.e Sa,Re,Ga,Ma,Pa,Dha and Ni.
Komal Swars, we will take up later and will discuss more technicality on swars in upcoming posts.
I am open to your suggestions and please help me to make the blog more informative and entertaining.
